ABOUT
Brighter Day Care Packages knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. In February 2013 I was diagnosed with a rare cancer called GIST cancer, which required a Whipple Surgery, then followed by 3 years of taking a daily chemo.
September 17, 2016 was my last day of taking daily chemo for 3 years and I wanted to have a celebration. I hosted a party to celebrate my last daily chemo, instead of the party being about me, I wanted to help other cancer patients going through treatment and provide them with some hope that would not only brighten their day but also give them something to do while going through treatment.
With the help and donations of so many family and friends we were able to assemble and provide care packages to over 200 cancer patients here in West Michigan.
